The cobbled streets of Robin Hoods Bay set the scene for this years Victorian Weekend.
Ladies and gentleman in their Sunday finest rubbed shoulders with young chimney sweeps and the odd smuggler or two as enthusiastic locals prepared for a fancy dress competition judged by Queen Victoria herself. Carol singers in period costume spread festive cheer throughout the weekend, while the bravest souls signed up for a storytelling walk with ghostly tales to chill the bones.

The 2018 Robin Hoods Bay Victorian Weekend is organised by Volunteers & the Robin Hoods Bay Tourism Association – starting on Friday 7th of December the whole weekend will be filled with authentic Victorian activities and lots of festive cheer including the return of children's favourite - Santa. This amazing weekend in October certainly does capture the imagination....for those who are to young to remember to those who will never forget. The North Yorkshire Moors railway certainly goes full steam ahead and immerses you in the sights, sounds and feeling of how it would of been during the 2nd World War.
